The Pixel 3 phone comes with Google Lens, basically googling whatever you point your camera at. Set to the iconic tune of Mr Rogers and directed by Terrence Malick, we made a launch film that captures how, sure, smartphones can pull us out of the world around us, but in the case of Pixel 3 it can also help us stay curious about that world.

Set to the iconic tune of Mr Rogers and directed by Terrence Malick, we made a launch film that captures how, sure, smartphones can pull us out of the world around us, but in the case of Pixel 3 it can also help us stay curious about that world.

Terrence Malick opted to shoot the film on the Pixel 3 itself, along with the crew and creatives — resulting in 71 hours of authentic footage, with only a barebones script as a guide. The result was something that felt true to the concept of staying open and curious as we explore the world we're in.
